That Sunday feeling
Sunday, 11 October 2009
If I think about it hard enough, I can make the fact that it is Monday tomorrow a good thing.....
I have humphed my way through all my admin and my tax return, we have done a food shop which will last at least a month, the housework is up to date, I have actually had time to paint my nails to match my new top (electric blue stripes). And, it's Monday tomorrow. How grown up have I been today?
In a week's time, I'm off to spend 5 days with my good friend Schmetterling near Frankfurt. This year, I will not be struggling, trailing and weeping my way towards the Christmas break. Taking time out in October is such a luxury for me, as is going abroad on my own with my massive Uni rucksack crammed full of treats and pressies. I plan to chill, chat, socialise, giggle, drink wine, watch daft girl films, may be go on some forest walks, write in my journal, take in the clear country air and return feeling even fuller of verve and vigour than before. Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately, life, at times. can have a slightly flattening effect and so, for now, I rather resemble the doggie in the towel in the picture.

Enjoy yourself. You know, the doggie looks not so much flattened as cossetted. Hopefully you too will be cossetted and pampered.

Working Mum: Thank you and I hope you are feeling better too.
Suburbia: I haven't ever had such an extended girlie time, really looking forward to it. The half term is next week, but they are not with me.
Nick: Yes, it is cosseted, just as I am at home, with lots of loving care and attention from Bobo.
GVH: Thanks. I don't often like animal pictures, but this one was hilarious.

I did about four loads of laundry yesterday and tidied and hoovered the living room (no mean feat when you are having to hoover around a drumkit) - must have been a virtuous smell in the Edinburgh air yesterday. I did not however paint my nails (I have never painted my nails) but am now trying to envisage electric blue striped nails!

Well I think the dog in the picture is jolly cute.
